6 safest places to be in San Diego

Over the last years, some cities in the United States have been hit by an increase of higher crime rates. Of course, this is a constant concern for home owners and even simple visitors, because their family’s safety comes first.

While incidents can technically happen anywhere in the world just for being at the wrong place at the wrong time, you can definitely decrease your chances of having a bad experience by being in safer areas. That’s why today I'm giving you a list of the 6 safest places to be in San Diego in 2020.

1- Torrey Hills

With a population of only 5,305 according to the last census, this neighborhood in San Diego is ideal for families with children and teens thanks to its Top-Notch public schools that offer quality education. It is a great place to visit as well since they have plenty of great restaurants, coffee shops and parks.

2- Torrey Pines

Torrey Pines is perfect for people who love the beach but want a less crowded experience. Home owners tend to choose to live here since they can enjoy the best of both worlds, meaning they can easily get to the City for work or entertainment and then go back home where it’s really peaceful. It has amazing natural reserves that people love visiting.

3- Carmel Valley

If you are into High-End properties whether it is for you or as an investment, Carmel Valley is a good option to look at. Its location is extremely convenient for residents and visitors thanks to its quick access to Interstate 5. So, you can pretty much get anywhere without having to commute a long time, which is a big plus! Its schools, both public and private, are highly ranked so they promise quality education for your children.

4- Del Mar Mesa

If you want a semi-rural experience and love the outdoors in general, Del Mar Mesa is a great option. A big portion of it consists of naturally preserved areas, so you can go for a hike whenever you like. With a really low crime rate, it's been named multiple times "The Best Place to Raise a Family".

5- La Jolla

Another great location to have an immersive beach life experience. Located right next to the Pacific Ocean, the weather feels amazing thanks to the sea breeze. It’s a favorite location for retirees to live in, tourists and of course people who enjoy outdoor experiences. Even though it has a medium sized population compared to other locations, its crime rate is really low. The nightlife is very active with a lot of bars and restaurants in the area.

6- Rancho Peñasquitos

If you like the suburbs you are going to love this community! Neighboring other top communities like Sabre Springs and Carmel Mountain Ranch, Rancho Peñasquitos offers education for young ones from highly ranked schools. The main focus of this community is to be as residential as possible along with the preservation of natural landscapes, offering many hillsides for people who enjoy hiking.
